Jack Henry - With information from CBC and CTV

Charges have been laid against a 14 year old and 12 year old in a attempted baby-snatching that happened in Guildwood around 10:45pm on Thursday according to CTV and CBC. The incident happened in the area of Guildwood Parkway and Livingston Road as a woman and her baby were walking from Guildwood GO Station.

The woman told CBC that she was attacked by the pair when she refused to give them her baby. They took her backpack and fled. Police later apprehended both suspects and recovered the stolen property. The two youth suspects are facing many charges including assault, robbery and uttering threats. The pair are also suspected in a robbery that took place in the Kingston Road and Markham Road area earlier that night around 7:45pm.

Guildwood to me has always seemed like a good area, and I have never had any fear of walking around the area late at night, even 1 or 2 in the morning. Although I still think that it is quite a safe neighborhood I think that I am going to be a little more careful. What are your thoughts on this event?
