I'm back! Hope everyone has had a great summer! I'm Back playing catchup from the news of the summer. As such this article will be a few smaller stories all joined into one. This includes Upcoming Events in the Guild Park, The Guildwoodian is Hiring and Re-Imaging Guildwoods News.
Upcoming Events in the Guild Park
There are a few events coming to the Guild Park in the next few weeks from Friends of the Guild Park and Gardens. The Summer Walking Tour is happening this Sunday at 2pm. The Annual Fall Shoreline Cleanup is Saturday September 19th at 9am and Friends of the Guild Park and Gardens will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday September 22nd at 7pm. The Guildwoodian is Hiring!
Are you passionate about your community? Do you want to share news and events with other local residents? Are you a student looking to get your volunteer hours in the community? If you said yes to any of these questions The Guildwoodian is looking for you! We are currently hiring volunteer writers and photographers to be part of our team! All we ask is that you are able to attend at least one event every year and share it with the rest of the community. This is a great opportunity to get out into the community and connect with your neighbourhood. It's also a great opportunity for journalism students looking to gain experience right here in Toronto in their own neighbourhood and a great opportunity for photography students to showcase your work in the community and gain experience in event photography. Re-Imaging Guildwoods News
A lot has changed in the two plus years since The Guildwoodian was launched in April 2014. A project is currently underway to re-brand The Guildwoodian to reflect these changes. We plan on these changes being complete by the beginning of October so stay tuned to our social media feeds for further details and an exact release date!
