The Friends of the Guild Park and Gardens hosted 2 successful Shoreline Cleanups as part of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup along with a number of other cleanup events in 2016 collecting over 8,000 bottle caps, 3,000 drink containers and 2,000 straws and stirring sticks amongst other things.
There are a number of cleanup and other events planned by the Friends of the Guild Park and Gardens including the Spring 2017 Shoreline Cleanup scheduled for May 13th 2017, A Greener Future's Butt Blitz scheduled for May 6th 2017 and Love Your Lake scheduled for June 7th-9th.
