President David Arnold thanked the GVCA’s members, supporters and active volunteers for their “unwavering commitment to your community.” He also highlighted results from the recent community survey and announced a special ticketed reception – “Guildwood Celebrates Canada’s 150th“—taking place Fri. June 2 at the new Guild Inn Estate. Tickets available at MuddyPaws or contact Janet Heise at 416-265-2934.

The GVCA reported that thanks to its solid financial position last year, it contributed nearly $5,000 to planting large-diameter trees at the church properties at Livingston Road and Guildwood Parkway. It also subsidized the planting of more than 40 trees by GVCA residents.

To conclude the meeting, the GVCA welcomed Shelly Primeau and Francesca Bancheri of Dynamic Hospitality. They described the progress their company is making to open Guild Inn Estate at Guild Park in the next month or so. The executives spoke highly about the project, saying they recognized that Dynamic is restoring and expanding a site “rich with history” and "more than just bricks and mortar.”
